I have over 80k posts on a site called "US Election Atlas", and I don't even know what exactly the Caucus Chair does. Nor was I aware that Joseph Crowley held this position until his primary challenge started making the news.

If I'm that unaware of this position, how do you think the average voter is about it?

The caucus chair is in charge of messaging.

Btw while I don't mind her, the influence of this is being WAAAAAAAAY overstated. The percentage of people who are even aware this office even exists is probably in the single digits.

She'd be 6 years younger than everyone ahead of her, so that would open the possibility of Speaker Lee.

She would be less popular among Middle America than Pelosi.  A radical social worker from UC-Berkeley; that'll play great in the heartland.

One of the ways to return the Democrats to the majority is to elect one more Representative in IA, NE, KS, OK, and one more from the Dakotas and Montana.  I'm sure Barbara Lee will be leading that charge.

The Democratic Leadership needs to be folks that play well on TV and have a big tent philosophy.  That's not Barbara Lee.

"Middle America"

Donald Trump is President. You don't have to be so PC about it.
