I saw this on the news.
Apparently, when the judge found out what they did, he/she threw-out the case and all charges were dropped.
And both police officers are on desk duty, pending further disciplinary action by the chief.

If there's probably cause to arrest this woman, then those cops broke no laws.  That being said, they likely could be disciplined or fired for such practices.

I doubt this case will go to Court; the prosecutor doubtless won't want to deal with this issue in open court.
