Very cool. I like Hanson, but Grabinger makes more sense on a ticket with Heitkamp. Stutsman County is very Republican, but he's had a lot of success there as a Jamestown City Councilor, president of a local school board, and now a State Senator.

How about Heitkamp’s brother, Joel? Was a state senator, now a radio host.

Probably the strongest Democratic candidate on paper, IMO. Name rec, experience, and access to political capital.

My only concern is that two Heitkamp's on the ticket could make them vulnerable to "political dynasty" attacks. I'm not sure though if that's a line that would resonate in the state, or if the family is perhaps popular enough to survive it.
If Nevada 2010 is any kind of allegory, the elder member of the dynasty (Heidi) would be basically unaffected while the junior member (Joel) would get destroyed.

28% Tom Campbell
13% Kelly Armstrong (lol)
9% Julie Fedorchak
1% DuWayne Hendrickson
1% Tiffany Abentroth

47% Undecided

Annoying that Schneider is running. Grabinger is clearly the more fitting candidate.

He lost his seat in 2016. Idk how conservative or liberal it was though, but I know Grabinger won in a red district in 2016.

Grabinger likely would have done better, but against Campbell it could still be an interesting race.

Grabinger is from Jamestown, which isn't that conservative of a town at least on the local level. Schneider though seems to be a pretty typical Grand Forks liberal. Not the best candidate for statewide. The reason he lost his seat is that it's based around the University of North Dakota and lack of enthusiasm for Hillary caused student turnout to crater there, so not really his fault.

From presumptive Senate nominee to an underdog in a House primary. How embarrassing.
