Alright, so this decision took me a long time to make, and I didn't take it lightly. But I saw a problem. As good as the Federalist Party is for the Atlasian Right, they're too big tent. We need a new party to represent the interests of center-right politicians.

Thus, I have founded the Conservative Union of Atlasia (CUP).

There will be a platform coming soon, and elections for Chair and Vice-Chair. As of now, I am the provisional Chairman.

If you are a conservative who believes there can be better done for conservatives than the Federalists, then I ask of you to join.

Let's reform the right!

Thank god. We need a party that actually stands for conservative values. Federalists are just slightly less liberal socialists.

We must end government programs to promote individual liberty and freedom. We must no longer be shackled by government sponsored servitude.

Because I was the first one to sign up for this party, I am now the Leader and Chair of it.

I don't intend to be pulled limb from limb from both sides. Tongue

The thing about conservatives is if you slice the apple too thinly on too many issues, you end up electing a permanent center left majority.

Oof. I'll go for Vice-Chair then, as I was second.

The only reason why the Left can win elections is because no one is standing for conservative values of individual liberty and freedom. Why vote for the fake socialists in the federalists when you can just vote for the real socialists.

I have joined this great, awesome party-this is real news. Hop on board, the ride is starting and IT WILL NEVER STOP! Let's give Atlasia a CUP of real conservatism, not Federalist socialism with Jill Stein voter and far-left so-called President Crooked fhtagn. Dave bless Atlasia.

VOTE TO EXCOMMUNICATE PERICLES FROM THE PARTY

Pericles ran for president with an incredibly socialistic platform. He now wants to join our principled conservative party to spread even more socialism. We must stop this.

Mark your vote with [X].

With a 2-0-1 vote in favor of keeping Pericles out of the party, he is now kicked.

Non members are not allowed to call a vote.

That is not conservative technically speaking.

One thing I am most grateful for is that Conservatism is not shackled to the radical extremism that has gripped the Right in RL and especially the US Republican Party. When you as a conservative are pushing to impeach justices, you are attacking constitutional checks and balances, and when you are trying to downsize the gov't to point of destabilizing the country and wrecking the economy, you have abandoned conservatism and embraced demagoguery

Might as well play along... Tongue

The Federalist Party has long history of fighting for the constitution, for regional rights, for checks and balances, and for preserving the independent judiciary. We have pursued market based programs that preserve individual choice, still ensuring people who need help get it on healthcare (twice actually, we did likewise pre-reset). Federalist passed legislation to target wasteful spending in the Pentagon, we have pushed through an passed a Pay-go rule in the House and fought to preserve it when it came under attack. Federalists have long promoted a regional education policy, while the creator of this thread introduced a bill that became a pandora's box for centralists to start micromanaging curriculum once again.

The Federalists are not a US conservative party, and we are not a European Conservative Party, but we are an Atlasian Conservative party rooted in the traditions of Atlasian Conservatism, combining traditions rooted in many different strands of thought.

Once again we have a select few who want to use their priorities for who is and who is not a conservative, disregard their own deviance and then stand in judgement upon the throne of Christ determining who is and who is not worthy of the title of Conservative. I would ask that others be given the same respect you call for, when asking people to look at the whole picture as opposed to few areas of moderation, to do anything else is hypocrisy of the highest order.

With all due respect, by Section 1 of Article B of the bylaws of the Conservative Union Party, your argument is void because it triggers me. Next!

True, because we are a "federalist" party first.

We have no interest in being a conservative party that replaces a set of socialist programs with a set of "conservative" ones likewise forced down our throats by the iron fist of the centralist Nyman authorities.

If that is your idea of a "suitable conservative party", than I want low potency explosives back in the Seventh Section, we need some means to oppose the bipartisan tyranny of the centralized state. Tongue
