Spearman shouldn’t be underestimated. She primaried the current mayor of North Las Vegas out of his Senate seat by a 2-1 margin several years ago, and he had no scandals.

Lee was a pro-life, anti-gay rights ConservaDem.

Reid was also pro-life.

Still backing Vilela in this. This is the sole instance in which I'm giving my full support to the Justice Democrat in the race.

Spearman is such a good candidate though. She’s in that sweet spot between Hillary and Bernie “ideologies”.

Plus, aren’t you backing Matiella?

Honestly any of these three would be fine given that I’ve warmed up to Horsford some. Vilela is still the best of the 3 due to her background and story though I think she may be to my left to a bit.

That's more hesitant support, given Matiella's frankly terrible fundraising numbers. I just still think she'd be a better local candidate than Heinz, who flat-out blew it in 2016 while Hillary took AZ-02 by five points, and certainly preferable to a carpetbagger like Kirkpatrick.

As for this race, don't get me wrong: I really do like Spearman. But no Justice Democrat has ever impressed me as much as Vilela. The Issues page on her website has to be the most comprehensive I've seen from any candidate.

Since there's gonna be a Democrat no matter what, I prefer Vilela.  They seem to have the most stances public and are trying to be as transparent as possible on how they'll vote, and I like that.

Great! Maybe Vilela really has a shot now! Still going for her but  I will endorse Spearman in general if she wins, but not Horsford or Lee. Horsford was part of progressive caucus but wasn't progressive at all and has a shady past. Lee from what I'm hearing has Corporate dem written all over him.

Lee is a socially moderate to conservative dem (which isn't terribly uncommon ancestrally in NV) but he isn't even running for this seat.

I think Reid strongarmed him out of it once Spearman got in.
