During an appearance on "Fox & Friends," deputy White House press secretary Hogan Gidley dismissed a Democratic National Committee statement blaming the shutdown on Trump's "chaotic" Republican Party.

“Nobody is buying that," Gidley responded.

"Look, you guys are sitting with a former TV Superman in Dean Cain,” he said of the former actor co-hosting the show. "I'm working for a real-life Superman over my shoulder in Donald Trump."
