Benghazi, IRS "persecuting" conservatives, Uranium One, PizzaGate. Just another one to throw into the pile. It doesn't matter if they are nothingburgers. It isn't open to debate for the conservatives hustling conspiracies. They just keep yelling about it over and over and over again until they are all on the same page.
Of course they do. The majority of the Republican base doesn't agree with the national GOP policy agenda of mass deregulation and huge tax cuts for the rich....so through conservative media they create a giant soup of hate and resentment toward minorities and the "liberal agenda" (whatever the hell they make that out to be) and the soup is nicely spiced with a plethora of these conspiracy theories that show "how evil the liberals are"
That pretty much alone is what's keeping the Republican voters loyal and devoted to them.
