Feel free to move this topic mods as this could go in like 4-5 boards. Why did Connecticut trend so far away from the GOP in 1958? It's congressional district literally went from 6-0 R to 6-0 D? Was the state really elastic due to lower polarization? And how the hell did Ds gain almost 100 seats in the lower chamber and 24 in the upper chamber? Was Connecticut particularly hard hit by the 1958 recession?
