I would say that by their very nature it's rather difficult for them to be 'incredibly serious business'. But when people ridicule memes for such crazy reasons as 'blah blah blah impact font blah blah blah don't you know it's 2017', it's absurd and utterly misses the point, and is deserving of a calling out. That is not what proper feedback looks like - it's just bad faith.
