True, but I am curious what moderates/centrists/others would say.

If his questions regarding gerrymandering don't turn off centrists then I don't know what will. He's proving to be a Trump pawn on the SCOTUS, not an independent judge.

I expect him to be worse than Alito, who I've long considered to be the worst Justice on the Supreme Court. I was mostly in disagreement with Scalia and I found some of his views to be totally reprehensible. But there were significant and vitally substantial cases where he was not only right, but wrote outstanding opinions in support of his conclusion. Even Justice Thomas gets it right sometimes, although I can't think of any opinions he authored. To be honest, I would take Justice Scalia back in a heartbeat over Gorsuch.

My answer to the poll is obvious.

No, not a better Justice. Garland would have been just as mediocre as Gorsuch is.
