If Colyer is going to be the incumbent governor, then he will win.

From what I understand, Colyer is likely to be a tremendously weak incumbent, and I don't trust the KSGOP not to shoot themselves in the face by picking a Brownbacker and actual fascist as their nominee.

I think Kobach prevails because candidates like Mark Hutton, Ed O'Malley, and Jim Barnett will split the more moderate anti-Kobach vote. Selzer and Hartman won't be getting much moderate support tbh. Geographical bases will be crucial to seeing who picks up anti-Kobach, non-Colyer (who I think does well statewide) votes. Kobach likely garners the Trumpy support.

Mark Hutton-Probably not a huge factor but he might carry some weight in Wichita proper.
Wink Hartman-May run well in South-Central and SW Kansas but it's been a few years since his name was big. He does have money though.
Ed O'Malley-Definitely wins JoCo moderates, Lawrence Repubs (all 3 of them), and might do okayish in Wichita and Topeka. Likely doesn't have much support in rural areas or small towns.
Ken Selzer-One of the more right-wing candidates. Not Trumpy per se, but more like a Ted Cruz. In his Insurance Commissioner primary in 2014, he did well with conservatives in JoCo but also out west in Dodge City and Garden City. Will be interesting to see where he does best.
Jim Barnett-Hasn't been around for 8 years since a KS-01 primary loss, but maybe Emporia and parts of Eastern Kansas still know and like him? Definitely one of the moderates.
