Obamacare is Newt Gingrich's plan from the 90's kiddo.  Try again.

Obamacare is another way to make people reliant on the government. It's another freebie to get people hooked. In California, half of the children are on Medi-Cal (Cali's medicare).

HALF. OF. CALIFORNIA'S. CHILDREN. ARE. ON. MEDI-CAL.

That's what Democrats want for the entire USA. Then they give you a reason to need their healthcare - legalizing the spread of HIV for example. Releasing felons so they cause more violent crime and people need to go to hospitals.

LOL @ believing allegedly half of California children are on government healthcare being an example of a “freebie to get people hooked.” It couldn’t possibly be attributable to rampant child poverty due to chronically low wages, extreme wealth and income inequality, and an extraordinarily high COL.

The source is Kamala Harris: https://twitter.com/kamalaharris/status/835219882102951937?lang=en

And the source is California itself.  A state full of poverty. Food stamps are given out like candy over here.

Democrats want California to be the rest of the USA - in poverty and reliant on Big Daddy Government.

I'd consider it an embarrassment that this state forces half of its CHILDREN on Medi-Cal, but for Democrats/leftists it's a plus. If we get them on food stamps and medi-cal when they're kids they'll ALWAYS rely on government help!

🙄 ugh oh please, so melodramatic in tone. I can’t with this one. People please stop feeding it, and don’t take the bait of attention it craves.

Drumpf is OVER, finished. How can you guys not see that by nominating the orange racist it will only help Hillary win?

In all seriousness: good. If Congress wont do healthcare reform then Trump will. The fact Pelosi and Schumer are pissed mean this is a good decision.

Man, I though I was a troll... reform... that's an interesting way to put it... this and effectively killing a bipartisan effort for subsidies... good look 45... but yes I get it Michigan is now the new Wyoming, prepare for a yuge Trumpslide in 2020... gonna be yuge 🤗.

This will affect millions of low income people and might raise cots for everyone. We shouldn't be playing politics with people's health.

Since when do Democrats care about people's healthcare anyway?

They literally just legalized spreading HIV in California for example.

This post made me lose all hope in American voters.

Obamacare raised costs for the middle class and Obama lied about keeping your doctor.

I care about low income people, and instead of getting them hooked on more government gimmes I'd want them to get out of poverty.

I want them to learn how to fish; not just give them a fish know what I mean? Yeah it takes more effort, and it's work, but it's better in the long run.

By making healthcare too expensive for them? How do you expect them to get out of poverty without their health?

We can talk about improving Obamacare but this action was pure politics (bad politics) and will hurt many sick people. It's stupid and heartless.

I still don't get the legalization of the spread of HIV bit. What does that even mean? It sounds like a legitimate conspiracy theory.

It also includes people that donate blood. So someone who KNOWS he has HIV and then donates blood won't get in trouble.

Most lower income people use the E.R. for just a runny nose. If anything the system is abused. There should be no mandate as well.

Instead of getting them hooked on freebies we need to give them employment.

In California food stamps have become a literal lifestyle. I've seen healthy 20 year old males using food stamps to buy energy drinks and ice cream!

The "heartless" people seem to have the most heart.

The thing is in America a lot of young people - especially millennials - do not want to work. They want everything given to them, then they want to be told "thank you." Now they're given food stamps (which are never "temporary" nor are they used for subsistence) like nothing, cell phones, etc. etc.

Healthcare should be reformed but not like Obamacare, which does nothing except beef up insurance companies.

ETA: It's not the government's job to steal from workers and provide for everyone. It's to provide  safe environment where ALL can thrive and provide for themselves. The government paying/subsidizing tuition is one of the reasons student debt has gone through the roof. Government subsidies for healthcare will cause the prices to go through the roof (as Obamacare has done). Not to mention these subsidies would've ended in 2017 ANYWAY - Trump is just not re-upping them.

Obamacare has already been sabotaged.

I think Trump's real plan is to "fix" Obamacare sub silentio (without expressly saying so).

I have to agree with you on the HIV law. That's insane.
