Okay why was this race decided by 800 votes when Obenshain didn't win any northern Virginia county's or city's ?

Look at the 2005 race, which was equally close (but with the Republican winning).

Democrats traded downstate votes for votes in NoVA.

I know but why was it closer then 2014 senate and 2013 governors race?
Heck looking at the map Gillespie in 2014 did better then mark in 2013 in northern Virginia.
