Why would trump apologize ? If he did, he is apologizing on behalf of the US.
From what I recall, it was Erdogan's bodyguards who acted like thugs and beat-on people for their verbal views.

The behavior of the security team was definitely bad. I like Erdogan but I see no rationale for this apology. Those people should be put behind bars.

Incidentally, the last sentences that article notes the White House denied any such apology took place. No, I don't particularly trust our Whitehouse worth a damn either, but if there's one Administration I trust at least no better if not less it's a Edrogan's.
