Nashville is a Democratic city, but it's the home of the Republican entertainment world.

Have you ever been to Nashville?  (I'm sure you have, just curious.)  It really doesn't give off an overly "Democratic" feel.  I'm not sure who Whites voted there, but here are the 2010 Nashville demographics:

61.4% White
27.7% Black
  9.8% Hispanic
  3.0% Asian
  2.1% Other

If we assume that minorities in Nashville pretty much mirrored these national results, per exit polls...

Black: 89% Clinton, 8% Trump
Hispanic: 66% Clinton, 28% Trump
Asian: 65% Clinton, 27% Trump

... that already gets Clinton to 33% of the vote in Nashville.  To win the city, she'd need to pull only 30% of Whites.  Davidson County (which, to my knowledge, merged with Nashville in the past and is pretty much the city plus a few tiny separate communities?) went for Clinton with 60.3% of the vote and would only need to win 48% of Whites to get to that 60.3% total.  I'm not at ALL saying that minority votes don't count or anything like that, but Nashville is certainly not a haven of White liberalism like Seattle or something.

It's been a while; I was last there in 1994, and it was more Democratic then than it is now.

I think it will be Las Vegas. It mirrors their presumptive nominee quite well. Trashy and full of blonde hookers just how he likes it.

Vegas has arrived.

It's trashy lifestyle is much more up front; the fleshly pleasures and other sinful fare are easily available in most of the cities that would host a major party's national convention.

The overall Nashville vote was 59.8-34 Clinton.  Reagente's model suggests that the Nashville white vote was a virtual tie, going for Trump 46.6-46.3.
