I think it is kinda odd everyone is assuming Trump will keep Pence. He is Trump after all.

He'd lose whatever support he has left amongst evangelical conservatives.

Who would replace Pence? A Trump loyalist like Scott Brown?

The question is will anyone other than Sarah Palin, Kelli Ward, or Josh Mandel actually accept the offer? At this point, Pence probably would've denied it if he saw the sh*tshow that was happening now.

Chris Christie. Trump would think about trying to starve him, in order to get him to eat the Democratic ticket.

Ben Carson and Jim Justice would surely jump to accept.

I would be surprised if Trump runs in 2020.

I'm sure Pence (and everyone else in administration) flatters Trump frequently, but the word you're looking for is "complements" not "compliment." As, "complementary colors."

That would actually be a shrewd (and cynical) political move for someone facing the very real likelihood of impeachment as the Mueller investigation closes in on him.  Think about it -wouldn't that give his enemies pause if they realize that by removing Donald Trump, they would end up with Sarah Palin in the Oval Office instead?

That is a good point. The upside though is that she would only be president for at least two years to fulfill the remaining term before losing reelection in a massive landslide. It would also damage the GOP to the point of no recovery.
