I'm very frustrated by alt-leftists seeking to undermine the Party's civil rights stances. If they get their way, we (minorities) won't have a voice in government because neither party would care about us.

What civil rights stance? Mass incarceration under Bill Clinton and Barack Obama?
Shut up.

Did you mean police shootings under Obama?
I'm talking about shoving minorities aside, talking about "White Middle America", trashing any candidate that isn't a white male, etc.
If there were a strong enough candidate who wasn't white male I might be inclined to not oppose them. I'm a fan of Gillibrand. I'm a fan of Warren. Representation of POC in congress is really poor so it isn't like we have man to choose from.

The demographics is destiny theory only really works if you don't continue to bleed the white vote. Back in the 2000's when it was initially predicted they assumed white voting habits would remain what they were for Al Gore. Since then we've bled the white vote and it's hurt us electorally.

I want to win. The best way to do that is to pick up the white voters who's economic interests are in alignment with minorities. Unfortunately the white voters who share economic interest with the Democratic party feel like the party has abandoned them. That's how we end up with an idiot like Trump in office. I don't want to pick up Romney Clinton voters because a coalition with them and POC is unsustainable. Their economic interests are antithesis. Romney Clinton voters want lower taxes and welfare reform. POC want stronger programs targeting at uplifting them. How can these voters ever agree on policy? These are the same people who fled to the suburbs to get away from POC. Instead if trying to unite people on those issues, try uniting people based on economic values. That's what Obama did. The problem we see now is that the Democratic party is viewed as one catered towards minorities. Obviously that's not true, but there certainly is an image problem. By nominating a white male we're able to bridge such an image problem and actually win elections.
