You forgot the part where Hillary Clinton did not campaign enough in 2/3 of the state, and also once made a comment about a "basket of deplorables" that many voters in Pennsylvania took as an insult to them.

I agree that Casey won't repeat those mistakes. But President Obama is not running for office and can't carry him.

Yeah, hopefully Wolf on the ballot will help, but I doubt it. Casey's fate rests on whether or not he can control margins in the rural parts of the state.

Remind me who Tom Wolf is exciting to again? Shame Barletta ain't running against him.

Wolf has a been a do nothing Governor.  He's got a big war chest though, and that's tough to take on.

One of the worst governors in the country, in fact, most people view the current democrat governor (something close to extiction) as very bad at governing.

Malloy, Wolf, Raimondo, all terrible governors but somehow it's the GOP who doesn't know how to govern.

The general consensus seems to be that Barletta is an okay, but not great recruit, which at this point I have to agree with. I imagine he'll be doing pretty well in the mid state though.

I do wonder what will happen with his congressional seat - it's early yet, and I imagine a Republican will win it, but it's not a seat that is 100% out of the question in the write scenario.

I don't think he'll be that bad. Remember, Kathleen Harris was the Florida Secretary of State during the highly controversial 2000 Election recount, and she was running during GWB's six-year itch, when his popularity was super low (and only went further down from there). Barletta doesn't have anything remotely similar.
