Most likely Catherine Cortez Masto. She's a minority from a swing state.

New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker-Like another Obama/Biden ticket. Booker helps with black and Latino voters, Asian voters, and helps with some centrist voters.

Montana Gov. Steve Bullock-Helps reinforce Biden's blue collar appeal like a Clinton/Gore Baby Boomer ticket. Bullock could help in Western states.

A woman.

I can hear the far-left moaning about an all white-male ticket from light years away. He better pick someone who has a progressive track record. The leftist purists are already planning to eat him alive like they did Hillary.

Kamala Harris. She's a younger progressive favorite who adds diversity to the ticket as well as political accomplishments in the Trump era.

It's a bit of a negative that she's from the East Coast, but Joe Biden should be able to shore up the rust belt.

Tammy Baldwin, maybe.  She's a progressive woman from crucial Wisconsin.

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), assuming she's re-elected in 2018.

I'll second this. I would like someone younger, but Tammy Baldwin seems like a strong choice.

Didn't cross my mind before reading this thread but Biden/Baldwin would be very strong.

I think Linda Sanchez, Ivy Taylor(if she wins the office back in 2019), Michelle Lujan Grisham, or Hilda Solis would all do well as his running mate.

Sen. Bob Casey seems like a strong choice, he's from a rust belt state, he's pro-life, pro-gun, so that ticket could win in some areas that are usually Republican.
Rep. Mark Takano also, a strong choice, he's Asian, he's gay, everything that the party likes.
