People!!!

When I became active here, one of the first things I saw was the constitution which was then under debate.  I was very impressed.

Now that we have all voted on, and tried to implement, a constitution, I keep seeing suggestions that this document which we all agreed to be thrown out!!!  Why is that?

Even in threads discussing a new party forming, I see refernces to changing the number of senators, etc. basically making changes to the constitution.  These are issues for our newly-elected senate to decide.

We all agreed to a set of rules.  If we throw them out every time a little trouble gets stirred up, this fantasy election forum is going to crash and burn.

Now that we have a senate, are they going to meet and start showing a little leadership here?

One senator deleted himself. Another is engaging in unconstructive trolling. A 3rd one left. A 4tf one left too. 1 seat is still vacant. 1 seat was filled in shady manner. Etc.

And it's not a minor problem, I'm afraid.

Actually we have six Senators who are able and willing to function, that is a quorum.

If you want to change, and I am not opposed to some of the changes proposed, we should do it within the system in order to minimize chaos. We have had enough of that already.

Did JFK leave the Senate?  And StatesRights has come back, so we should have seven or eight Senators (minus Emsworth, District 5, and who knows about Shapeshifter).

We do?

1 seat is vacant. Emsworth delted himself, JFK resigned. TexasGurl and StatesRights left. I finf that to be 5 remaining right now.
