I support this bill, as there is evidence behind its accusations. I oppose all forms of biased media.

You make a good point. However, this bill would not stop the purchase from occurring, but signal that the people of Lincoln do not support the purchase. I would fully support the purchase if Sinclair didn't have a history of intentionally airing politically biased segments: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/12/business/media/sinclair-broadcast-komo-conservative-media.html

So can we pass a resolution saying that Fremont condemns CNN's hiring of Valerie Jarrett's daughter? Or a resolution condemning George Stephanopoulos working at ABC. This is quite frivolous and it only legislation because Sinclair leans to the right.

If a member of the Fremont legislative body wished to do so, I doubt anyone would stop them from proposing it.

I personally believe this resolution is necessary for the interests of the Lincoln region's constituents.

After further considering this bill, I will likely vote against it. Sinclair's right wing bias has already been made public, and it's really not the government's job to police the press.
