Would Lynwood Lewis be our best candidate in VA-2? He's fairly moderate, often goes against the Democratic State Senate Caucus, and represents about a third of the congressional district. He's won tough elections before, including his State Senate seat that he first won by 11 votes. Guy is impressive. Only Virginia Democrat to be endorsed by the NFIB in 2015.

Scott Taylor is too strong of an incumbent and an excellent fit for the district. He overperformed Trump by 20 points or something.

To be fair, he wasn't contested at all.

Lewis would be the best possible candidate for the district, but his seat in the Senate would be a difficult hold. And with control of the Senate being relatively close, he'd be under a lot of pressure to stay put.
