One has to wonder whether Huma is:

a) The most incredible, forgiving human being, or
b) Desperately in love with a very sick (in more than one sense of the word) man, or
c) Has serious emotional/mental issues of her own, or
d) Is merely seeking to preserve a Clinton-esque marriage for spousal privilege/legal reasons

I suspect it is some combination of the above.

Probably some combination with the most weight on b and least weight on d. There is no longer any reason to keep the political power couple marriage going; they are both done in that world. She must really want to save it for themselves for some reason.

Love is a powerful thing, and if she really is trying to make things work with Weiner again, then it must be that. Considering they have a young son together, that probably is a big factor as well. Otherwise, there is no other reason to do this, especially considering keeping ties to him is probably toxic for any other career ambitions she might have.

Personally I think it's a stupid move - he's probably going to keep sending dick pics to women of all ages, but eh, what do I know.

You could ask the same thing about Melania Trump - who is willing to stay married to a syphilitic rapist but not quite willing to actually have to live with him.  Yet another example of the Trumps squandering public money to protect their perverse lifestyle.  How much are the taxpayers being billed for Huma Abedin's personal choices right now?

I watched the documentary Weiner last year, which traced Anthony Weiner's ill-fated campaign to become mayor of New York City. The film is surprisingly detailed, and it doesn't pull any punches in terms of what it covers. From what I saw, it seems like Huma Abedin is someone who desperately, desperately wants this marriage to work, largely for the sake of both partners, and for their son. I would guess that she's probably more frustrated than angry at this point.

I'd be frustrated too, both at myself and my partner if my partner of choice promised to change her ways, but didn't and managed to cost my boss (who is a good boss btw) a promotion in the most humiliating way possible to the most unqualified rival imaginable.
