She seems awfully sui generis within the Democratic party, occupying the left-wing of the party, but with some odd traits that seem at odds with the party as a whole, such as her former opposition to gay marriage, and cozying up to Assad and the BJP. At the same time, she also epitomizes the image the party wants to project of themselves - a young, minority, veteran woman - and seems quite charismatic, at least from what I've seen of her.

Travis Gabbard: Handsome, clean cut, Republican Congressman for Dallas TX (or the equivalent suburban district). He's a hardcore economic conservative, and a 'family values' Evangelical. Low key pacifist and BLM activist, but for some reason no one pays attention.

Yeah maybe Rand Paul? Just libertarian enough to be hated by the establishment but too traditionally conservative to earn admirers on the other side?

To truly be a mirror to Tulsi, he'd have to be a weird combo of religion and ethnicity as well, like a Japanese guy who's also a member of the Nation of Islam.
