Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger/Fmr. Rep. Dan Miller - 280 Electoral Votes
Sen. Evan Bayh/Sen. Jim Webb - 258 Electoral Votes

(Note: I chose Representative Miller just because I thought a Florida Politician would fit Schwarzenegger. The map is still valid without Miller.)

They spread rapidly(in popularity) and no one realizes the harm they do?

Or they are crabby?

I suspect that the electoral map in this scenario would look quite similar to the 1976 election between Ford and Carter. I think Schwarzenegger would win most of the Western states and maybe New England, while Bayh would win the Mid Atlantic, the Midwest and the South (due to Schwarzenegger's social liberalism), so as a result Bayh would win the election.
