Teton County is one of the most beautiful places on the North American continent, and I love hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, camping, etc. - if I'm not reading, I want to be in the wild. I would move there without a second thought if I had an opportunity.

This is my final conclusion as I too, enjoy those activities.

Probably one of the few cases where giving up the coast is worth it [that and Summit, UT vs Hawaii]

Teton County, WY because of the proximity of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Rhode Island can't match that in any of its counties.

Last time, I chose Plymouth MA over Summit UT because I thought Summit was a better place to vacation than to live and Plymouth was the other way around. For this matchup, that situation is even stronger. Teton is a great place to vacation, but why live there? Washington County for me.

The same answer I give for most New England vs. exciting Western area polls: If temporary, Teton, if permanent, Washington.

Few can afford to live in Teton County. So it is wishful thinking even to think about it. I am getting a bit old for Teton County, so I would probably go for the New England option.

Teton, WY is beautiful. If you're rich enough, it seems like pretty much the ideal place to retire.

Interestingly, out of the elections we've done so far, 2016 is the only one I wouldn't vote Republican in, and it also happens to be the only one where I voted for the most Democratic county in the most Republican state.
