I think Trump will get his travel ban put in place eventually, particularly if it is something that the majority of Americans actually want.

If it's struck down, Donald Trump will forever blame the courts for any terrorist attack that happens on U.S. soil.

That's right.

Can I just point out one absurdity of claiming that the EO is unconstitutional. To suggest this would be to also suggest that the 1925 Immigration act that was US law from 1925-1965 was also unconstitutional. And yet no one at the time, even those opposed to the act, attempted to argue during those 40 years that it was unconstitutional.

Now libs will no doubt say 'well things have changed since 1925'. Of course a lot has changed since then. However for a law to change from being constitutional to unconstitutional there would have to be a change in the constitution and none of the eight constitutional amendments since 1925 have any bearing on immigration.

I can't really say. Predicting the words and actions of the insane is difficult.

And make no mistake, the so-called president has lost any connection to reality or rationality he may have ever had:

Sorry, Pussygrabber-cultists, your leader just admitted he's insane. (Not that there was a lot of doubt.)

@realdonaldtrump
Very terrible decision, entire judiciary is RIGGED. Blame SC on next attack! But will soon change when I appoint my judges. SYSTEM RIGGED!

After an attack, even a very small one without real casualties:

@realdonaldtrump
It happened, as I said! Entire SC should step down IMMEDIATELY and go to JAIL for terrible decision and let Trump appoint all new judges.

It's not a Muslim travel ban or it would need to include way more nations than 7, but I digress.  He'll go spastic, of course.  BTW Vincente Fox is the world's best twitter troll......amazing.  Smiley

Plessy v. Ferguson (1896) and Brown v. Board of Education (1954). You don't really understand the American legal system and our legal history and traditions. Our interpretations of specific issues have changed over time. Roe is another example and somehow I don't think you're that unhappy with the subsequent modifications to Roe.

So, no, you cannot "point out the absurdity" because we're not England or however you do things over there.

Nothing because the supreme  court won't strike down the order. This is the same kind of order given out by the last 4 different presidents.

Even the WA judge argument basically boiled down to - we think it will be defeated in court.

Trump is on solid constitutional ground on this one.

Well for starters, the 1925 Immigration Act was an act of congress, not the President unilaterally redefining our immigration process.

I'm particularly curious to see what would happen if Gorsuch is confirmed and then joins in the decision to strike down the ban.

@RealDonaldTrump
Unelected judges side with terrorists. Sad! Lawyers working on way to fire ALL these traitors and replace with TRUE patriots!

The above ones all look good. Another suggestion:

@realdonaldtrump
Court decision is TREASON! SupCourt should be abolished because it is obsolete! Let me and my lawyers decide. Much smarter!

Trump has been going bezerk on Twitter about this.

The Donald is someone who really takes the fight head on and has amazing focus on getting this through.

Trump will quote other countries efforts on restricting immigration from these Muslim countries.

Australian senators are now thinking about implementing a Trump-style ban on the same countries.

http://indaily.com.au/news/national/2017/02/07/australians-split-on-adopting-trump-style-immigration-ban/

We have Pauline Hanson, George Christensen and Corey Benardi now wanting these things introduced.

So as tome goes on, i think you will see Trump quoting other Asian and European leaders in how they deal with muslim immigrants.

For example, how do muslim immigrants get on in Japan or China?
