Sorry for the huge pics, just got them off of the article. Not too much of a surprise here.

Well it certainly gives me hope, which isn't something I've had a lot of lately.

This is such a weird country.  Most Americans don't like refugees, yet 60% support the women's march against Trump?

Washington Post conducting an online poll into women's marches.

After the US Presidential election, the WaPo would appear to be a shining beacon of credibility in the murky world of internet polling.

Either way, it looks like there was no pretext to the question. I'm pretty sure a very large group of americans don't really know what these "womens marches" are about. It's worse than back when polls showed huge initial support for the tea party movement just because people took it to mean whatever.

This is such a weird country.  Most Americans don't like refugees, yet 60% support the women's march against Trump?

Most American men have some connection to women. Even if gay they have mothers, grandmothers, sisters, female cousins, co-workers, etc.  Few of us have connections to refugees.

Warming up to refugees takes some effort because one rarely gets to know them. I must think about Syrian refugees to come up with a reason for believing that some need sanctuary in the USA and that we should give it. Does anyone have a problem with Cubans or Vietnamese?

People are not refugees because they did something wrong -- it's because someone else did something very wrong, like take their property, outlaw their religion, deny them the jobs to which they were accustomed,or deny them some basic life (life, freedom to exercise a conscience, and basic dignity that free people take for granted.

Refugees are a tougher sell by the Left when they flee  non-Communist regimes. The Right had no problem with people fleeing Commie rule especially when the Right expected those refugees to become Republican voters, and we on the Left concurred for humanitarian reasons.

Donald Trump is a jerk, but he is more obviously a jerk on some matters than on others.

If the poll is accurate, then it's definitely a hopeful sign.

Who are these people who support both the women's marches and Trumps EO? Those "security moms" from 2004?
