Because the GM has unfortunately been unresponsive to my messages and PMs thus far regarding a very important budget analysis, I'm looking for a person who is mathematically inclined to run an overview on
a universal health insurance bill that is currently on the floor of the Senate. I would try doing it myself, but I have little experience writing budgets or making cost estimates. I wrote down some of the things that need to be covered, but if there is anything the Senate should know in addition to those, I would very much appreciate a report on that too.
I think the fundamentals we need to look at are a) how much AtlasCare will cost in total, b) the Medicare savings gained from people opting for AtlasCare plans, c) the costs and savings associated with what is essentially transforming Medicaid into a voucher program that will likely be phased out in the near future as people shop around for better plans, and d) the prescription drug tax benefit for private customers.
Let me know if you are interested.
Thanks for reading.
