So let's say Trump actually pulled off an electoral college victory and was re-elected. What would his second term have looked like and how would America look in 4 years?

Fatigue would set in hard and if the country was still in one piece (and questioning that is not an exaggeration) because without the restraints of running for re-election and without a Republican congress willing to restrain him....he’d be a virtual dictator.

With that said I think Dems would end up with 260 House seats and 57 Senate seats.

But Trump would go down as a 2 term President and while Trumpism is a scary cancer on our country - two terms of him would be a scar this nation would take maybe a century to live down

The US would probably turn into something resembling either Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, Francoist Spain, Russia under Vladimir Putin, Chile under Augusto Pinochet, Greece under Georgios Papadopoulos, or Pahlavi-era Iran.

Disaster is putting it lightly.

There would have been massive protests/riots in the streets of big cities in the weeks after the election, and Trump may have taken brutal action to stop them. White supremacists and and conspiracy theories like QAnon would have been emboldened. Trump's political opponents (Biden, Sanders, Warren, AOC, Pelosi, Schumer, Romney, Lincoln Project) may well have had to fear for their lives. The damage done to the environment could have been catastrophic. Strict loyalty tests would have been imposed on the federal government, at all levels from low-level administration positions to Republican members of Congress. He would have found a way to suppress all investigations into wrongdoing by him and his administration. Our allies abroad would be increasingly alienated, while Russia and China would fill the void that we left on the world stage. And it's possible he would find a way to get around the 22nd Amendment in 2024. Barring that, he would have made sure Don Jr won the Republican primary. It's honestly possible that California, along with Oregon and Washington, would have seceded and marketed itself as an anti-Trump haven, but maybe Trump would have declared war.

Obviously, things aren't all sunshine and rainbows now that he lost. But it was a necessary first step. The past few weeks, especially the events of January 6, were a preview of how things could have gone. At least for now, crisis averted. Big time.

More death and destruction as COVID continues to sweep the nation. The United States faces a real possibility of breaking apart again. Since Trump would have won despite a majority of the electorate voting against him, I can see many liberal areas such as the West Coast and New York seceding from the increasingly dysfunctional union. Russia and China would then take advantage of the void left by the crippled United States and create a new world order. The world would essentially be unrecognizable by 2030.

He’d likely be a lame duck. If a SCOTUS seat opened up but the Senate elections all had the same results, Schumer would cite the “McConnell rule” to ensure it isn’t filled until 2025.

If Trump won, Schumer wouldn't be majority leader because Harris wouldn't be the tie breaking vote

Also, Trump winning means he won Georgia, which mean Perdue won an outright majority on the first ballot

2022 would be D wave. In 2024, Pence would run and win the nomination, but would lose. Trump wouldn't complain about election fraud because it wasn't him losing. He probably still wouldn't attend the inauguration though.
