Is there anyway to find the results of these counties individually? In 2012 and 2008, you can see how all the counties in Alaska voted.

I'm not sure, but technically Alaska does not have counties. It has boroughs and census areas.

Alaska has boroughs not counties.

However they are not governed, they're just lines on a map for the state government's pleasure. That's why you don't see much data from them.

I have too much experience with Alaskan electoral data and can only tell you that the state seems to want to make it as difficult as possible for analysts to examine it.

Election results are reported by the state at the level of the electoral district (the lowest being state House Districts), but the fact that they are not stable over time makes it difficult to do too much longitudinal analysis. I have wasted far too many hours trying to track down old boundaries, readjust micro-level data to fit those old boundaries, etc. that it is actually sad.

Somebody usually takes the time to adjust the electoral-district data for presidential elections to conform to the boroughs, but it will probably not occur until some time after the state has certified its results.

The state, if only for the sake of data dissemination, needs to make boroughs cover the entire state or find a new—and stable—method of displaying the data. I know Alaskans pride themselves on an independent streak, but this is just ridiculous.

So are New England counties, and we still get data from them.

New England counties are divided into towns, which do have governments which report election results.
