How likely is that President Trump, assuming he serves out his term, seeks a second term? He will be 74 by 2020 and maybe bored by the job. What do you think?

I’d say it’s likely, but not certain. Especially if he feels that he could lose, he may withdraw to avoid a defeat. Because, you know, he doesn’t like losers Tongue

He lacks the humility not to try and he has all the ego to think he should no matter what the circumstance.

I'm not sure.  I suppose his primary personal goal is launching Trump TV.
Maybe he wants to take on Bloomberg TV, CNN, and Oprah TV.
Al Gore had Al Jazeera/Current TV for a few years.

Trump seems to have Jared Kurshner being the CEO of launching Trump TV, so
maybe Jared can do it on his own without Donald's involvement.

But if there were some kind of big international war, then I can see Trump
being in over his head and re-signing or not running for a 2nd term cuz
he wouldn't want to deal with it.

He won't run again if it looks like he'd lose.

It depends entirely how the next two years go. By late 2018 we'll have a much better idea.

But you have to decide well over a year before the election, and that's too early to be able to tell if you're likely to lose.  Heck, in this election at least, even one day before election day was too early to tell who was going to win.  Tongue

If he hasn't been thrown out of office, 100% chance. The chance that he hasn't been thrown out is probably around 90%

Heck, he's egotistical enuf I could see him try to get the 22nd Amendment repealed. It would be interesting to see Trump vs. Obama in 2024.

I agree with this.

Of course, he may run and lose.  It looked like Hillary was going to win, so . . .
