AFAIK, this is the current list of sitting Republican US Senators who are not backing Donald Trump for president:

Collins
Cruz
Flake
Graham
Heller
Kirk
Lee
Murkowski
Sasse
Toomey

Am I forgetting anyone?  And/or have any of these folks endorsed Trump and I missed it?

Out of that list, I think only Collins, Graham, Kirk, and Sasse would technically qualify as #NeverTrump, in that they’ve ruled out voting for him.  The others haven’t ruled it out definitively, though folks like Flake have a laundry list of demands (which he’s never going to agree to) for Trump to address before he gets their endorsement.  Then you’ve got folks like Heller, who isn’t currently supporting Trump, but has been less specific about what Trump would have to do to get his support.  So that’s a case where I guess there’s still the possibility of an endorsement before election day.

Most of these folks are vague about who they *will* vote for though.  Kirk says he’s planning on writing in Colin Powell.  Collins says she might write in Jeb Bush or Condi Rice.  Flake says that if the election were held today, he'd write someone in, but doesn’t say who.  I’m not sure about the others.

But we’re still pre-election day, so these guys can plausibly say they’re waffling on what to do.  What about the day after election day?  How many of these folks will definitively announce who they’re voting for for president before election day?  And for those who don’t say, what happens after the fact—if a reporter asks them the day after election day, how will they answer?  Will they give an answer, or still dodge the question?

[If you want to speculate about some of them secretly voting Clinton, feel free to do so, but the question is more about what they’ll say publicly.]

If Kirk and Collins were actually being sensible, they'd vote for Johnson. Of course, they have to be all "WAR IS THE BEST!" and do the equivalent of voting for Santa Claus.

They'll all probably say they voted third party, with the possible exception of Kirk who might say he voted for Clinton (especially if he loses re-election).

Collins will almost certainly vote for Clinton, but won't disclose it because she wants to avoid primary challenges.

Cruz already said he will be voting his conscience, although few realize he means this literally.

You seriously think he'll write in himself or "my conscience"?

Collins needs to switch parties.

Ted Cruz has likely written himself in every time he voted.

I would think Toomey will eventually end up voting for Trump, no?

You mean he'll actually vote for Trump, or he'll publicly admit that he's voting for Trump?  My guess would be that he refuses to say who he's voting for before election day, because it complicates his own reelection chances.  But I guess the day after election day, he might say what he did.

*bump*

At the rate things are going they'll all likely come home to Trump.

Oh really?  Tongue

Cruz has fallen for Trump's spell now, but we have an expanded list of folks who have not committed to voting Trump (though not all of them have totally ruled it out):

Ayotte
Collins
Crapo
Flake
Gardner
Graham
Heller
Kirk
Lee
McCain
Murkowski
Portman
Sasse
Sullivan
Toomey

In addition, Capito, Fischer, and Thune all urged Trump to drop out, but I don’t think they’ve explicitly rescinded their endorsement, should he stay in the race.

None of these Senators would ever admit to voting for Clinton, even if they actually did. It would be political suicide.

But what if their careers are over anyway?  If Ayotte or Kirk or McCain lose, do they admit the next day that they voted for Clinton?
