Spreadsheet I created that includes each state's voting history since 1976 and the % of the vote. I also
predicted the outcome of each state in 2016 based on these trends. NH going Republican & PA going Democratic again. Just a preview. Any insight is welcome.

You can't use previous elections past the 1990s to predict this years election. In 1976 Illinois, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, Washington, Oregon, California, New Mexico and Michigan all went Red.

If you're going to look at how states how trended objectively, and not cherry pick, there's no way you could conclude that Trump will win NV, CO, VA, or NH. If we're talking specifically about 1976, IA and MI should be locks for Hillary as well.
