Not even Austria's outgoing President Heinz Fischer (Social-Dems), who always got over 70%, achieved that rating ...

It always amazes me the degree that Europeans, regardless of their own political views, always view the Democrats' positions as correct and the Republicans' as wrong.

Why is that amazing? Democrats are generally multilateral internationalists and Republicans veer between unilateral interventionism and isolationism. The Democratic party will always be more pro-European.

Well, for instance one of my friends is from Poland and her family back home supports incredibly similar policies as Trump, yet fully supports Obama while reviling Trump. It just seems bizarre to me.
