Especially if she served in the Texas national guard without going AWOL.

Yes. Retired in 2003 with 33 years total naval service. 9 years active duty (including the last three due to recall) and 24 years in the reserves.

You are a regular Admiral Stockdale! Smiley

He was my boss once in the 70's when he commanded the ASW Wing Pacific and I was a supply officer in one of his squadrons. He is quite a guy!

Just remember to say "Who am I, and why am I here?", and you will landslide.

I never said he was a politician. He was an exceptional naval officer and a fine academician. BTW, he DID get one good line off in that debate!

And compared to Quale and Gore he was the winner. Wink

Are you going to army yourself? Military service seems to be voluntary nowadays in your country. Something what we won't see in Finland in foreseen future.

No.
Yea, it's voluntary, which is a shame, because I think everyone shoud be given military [i9training[/i] in order to be able to defend the country if needed.
Of course, it needed not be as it was, it could be part-time training etc, military training is not cleaning toilets, so the system before wasn't that great either.
