Yes.  Useless and irrelevant government agency that will only become more useless and irrelevant as the states continue to ignore it.  And it's not just pot.  I can't count how many times I've been needlessly delayed on my prescriptions because of these assholes.

Yes, because there really was no good reason to separate out the drug law enforcement functions into a single agency.  If it must be a separate agency, move it from the Dept. of Justice to the Department of Health and Human Services.

I would think that the domestic part (sales and manufacture) of DEA would be better with ATF in DoJ, but the smuggling parts of DEA would fit better with Customs and Border Patrol in Homeland Security.

Integrate its operations into Border Control and the ATF.

No. Drug laws stem from international treaties. It's a complex, highly specific mission of the federal government, which is basically the definition of being suited for its own agency.

I don't think something being "a complex, highly specific mission of the federal government" necessarily means it needs it's own cabinet level position.  Our nuclear triad is "a complex, highly specific mission of the federal government" yet it fits nicely into one branch of the DoD.  I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to come up with several more examples.

and yes, it should be.  And all drugs should be decriminalized. (not normal)

The DEA is not a cabinet-level department. It is a law enforcement agency that exists in the DoJ.
