I don't disagree it will largely come down to Rapist Trump's speech tomorrow night.  But, based on the incompetence and the falsehoods in the speeches and outright contradictory speeches given, I can't see Trump's speech being any different than what's gone on so far.

I suppose he might be trying to just set the bar unbelievably low though.

If it's a normal Trump speech he probably won't get a bounce. If he has another one of those real foot in the mouth moments (something like the Muslim Ban, the Megyn Kelly thing, or the judge controversy) he'll get a negative bounce.

Has any candidate gotten a "negative" bounce from a convention?

John Kerry likely came closest in 2004. But I don't think it was net negative. I see no reason for that to change here.
