While I disagree with Pence on most things, at least he understands the issues and was able to articulate his views. Trump was clueless and narcissistic as usual, it pains me to hear him speak and bothers me that he is able to get away with the answers he gives to questions.

By watching the interview, it's clear Pence is in this in order to be a viable 2020 candidate. He backed Cruz in the primaries and probably doesn't think Trump would be a good president.

I hadn't thought of that.  It actually makes sense.  Assuming Trump goes down 43-49 or something rather than completely bombing, keeps his dignity in the eyes of his supporters basically, Pence is now in a perfect position to be the guy Ted Cruz ended up being in spite of the extreme hatred the GOP had for him -- the guy who could bridge between the establishment and the base to try to beat Trump.  Pence could win the support of the politician-hating Trump crowd if he's Trump's man this whole cycle, but he's beloved by the establishment for his loyal work in Congress and as a governor, so they wouldn't mind him winning the nomination in 2020 either.  Of course there is the problem that he'll be remembered as a losing VP, which usually isn't a good thing unless you're FDR, but given how much he seems willing to allow Trump to dominate the ticket it probably won't be that big a deal.  Trump will lose on his own merits, not because of anything Pence did or could have done.

Wow....if Stahl asked Trump what books he reads or newspaper publications he gets his news from, it would've been Palin-level.

Not quite as bad as the Katie Couric interview of Palin, but still.

Take that back or Seriously? will call you a patent misogynist sexist.

Trump speaking time- 9 minutes, 55 seconds
Pence speaking time- 5 minutes (And that's being particularly generous)

It might be a while until we see another dual interview from them. It got really bad when waterboarding was brought up

Another trump blunder about the 60 Minutes interview, was that it took place inside trump's penthouse in New York.
All three (trump, Pence, and Stahl) were siting on trump's lavish chairs laced with gold (color).
Now what kind of image did this portray to "those struggling" in our nation ?

Donald Trump of all people is not going to play poor for the cameras.  Nobody would believe it.

Sure, but to claim you're amazingly humble while everyone in the room sits on your gold-laced chairs is... interesting.

I honestly thought that it was worse. Palin has become a parody of herself over the past eight years, and what was shocking to us in 2008 really doesn't phase when compared to the day-to-day of the Trump campaign. Would be interesting to go back and compare the two.
