This city is absolutely crazy. Its an isolated, fundamentalist hellhole on the Utah border with an insanely young median age and large family size. Incest and polygamy is common. Its voting habits are even stranger, it often votes super Republican, but Democrats are effectively a third party, and often get less votes than libertarians and write-ins.

This year, with Donald Trump having terrible problems with Mormons, I wonder if Gary Johnson or Darrell Castle may be able to win here, since Democrats are pretty much Satan. Its worth noting that Romney didn't even win the primary vote in 2012! Ron Paul won it, so its just super eccentric overall.

Most likely Trump, but maybe Gary Johnson if his campaign gains more traction. Clinton and Castle have no chance there.

The hell? That sounds awful. They may go to Johnson, but Jesus Christ that town needs a psychologist or something.

While Gary Johnson is too socially liberal for fundamentalist Mormons, but he could win anti-Trump protest votes from people who don't even know what Johnson stands for. With that said, I would imagine that there isn't much access to news out there, so Trump probably wins just from having an R next to his name.

Dear God, I wish I wasn't reminded that this place existed. I think trump. These not-even-mormons are so far gone that they won't vote anywhere near like what normal Mormons do.

Previous results:

Romney 612 (81.38%)
Johnson 60 (7.98%)
Write-in 40 (5.32%)
Obama 24 (3.19%)
Stein 16 (2.13%)

McCain 614 (77.43%)
Write-in 84 (10.59%)
Barr 24 (3.03%)
Obama 14 (1.77%)
McKinney 13 (1.64%)

I think, maybe wrongly, that twin city Hildale, Utah, had some massive third-party or write-in showing one of these years?

Fun fact: they're not supposed to be voting at all for president because they believe their leader is already President of the United States. I'm not sure who exactly are the voters in this area but I think I'll go with Trump here.

They're voting.  I have access to the Arizona voter roll lists and, while turnout isn't that great, the FLDS people are registered and many participate.  It's pretty amazing how many people with the surname Jeffs can vote in one town.

Trump will just tell them he's been married three times and forget to tell them about the divorces.

I could see someone like Darrell Castle doing well here. Hillary will be lucky to break 5%. Johnson could beat Hillary. Hell, Stein could possibly beat Hillary. I'm really not sure about Trump here. He's antithetical to Mormons, but these people are pretty close to being antithetical to Mormons themselves. Still, with Trump's reputation, I doubt he'll get too many votes. Unless...

Thank you for the much needed levity.
