Deep down, Trump is a very simple human being to understand.  He is a byproduct of the harsh NY "hustling" way of life, and the reality TV culture he helped create.  In that alternate world, you shoot first, don't bother with too many questions afterwards, and never, ever show your weaknesses (or admit to any faults - even the most obvious ones).  Additionally, he is lazy and opinionated, making any behavioral change almost impossible.  For over 25 years, he has lived his life convinced that he is God's gift to men (and women), and that what he says is the Gospel.  I actually think that he does believe that all the attacks on him vis-a-vis TrumpU and other scandals he created, is just mean revenge from envious people.

He feels he knows what he knows (which sadly appears to be not much) and whoever says differently should immediately be treated to a verbal bodycheck.  Expecting him to change now, for a mere election, is a fool's errand.  The sad fact is that it reflects very badly on the state of the society today, that such a character could be taken seriously by voters, much less nominated for the most important job in the nation.

I have no doubts that he will lose spectacularly, unless a major scandal erupts and he is forced to withdraw, before the election;  but it doesn't change the disturbing fact that a cartoon character like Trump could somehow even get to where he is now!

As I said, the rise of Cartoon Trump negatively reflects on society, not the voters.  It may seem easy to blame the GOP electorate, but the voters are just taking the cues from the values permeating from the society, and the vista presented by the media and other information sources.  The concerns that drove many to Trump are real.  The fact that they are being addressed like this and by someone like Trump are the real issues.

LOL - I will provide an honorable mention for you when I publish the book.

BTW, Ryan's face in your cartoon says it all.
