It seems several folks here think either that Clinton will win SD, or that it will be very close. The only poll from SD seems to support this, and I am aware that Clinton won SD in 2008. However, what would the county map look like if Clinton won or if it was a close race?

Looking at SD demographically, it's hard to imagine Clinton winning. It's largely white, rural, and not that affluent or old, not to mention that it's a semi-open primary. It seems like a great state for Sanders. Here's what the map would look like if Clinton won the relatively more affluent, older, and/or less white counties in SD.

This is being pretty generous to Clinton, and it's still hard to see that as a winning map for her, unless she wins Pierre/Sioux Falls by double digits.

Anyway, feel free to post plausible Clinton win maps, or what you think the SD map will look like.

Honestly I have no idea about how to predict counties in the Dakotas. The counties that Clinton wins will pretty much be random to me.
