The real issue with "John Miller"

While on the surface, Donald Trump posing as John Miller to brag about himself is just funny (maybe a little strange, but not really important on a political scale), there are some deeper issues associated with it. To preface, I do not have a very positive view of our dear old Donald, but this incident drives home the fact that he is not only dishonest, but also a pathological liar. As you can hear in John Oliver's segment on the incident, Trump had come out publicly after the incident before, saying that it was just a joke that got a little out of hand. However, when it was brought back up in our current election cycle, he denied that it was him in the call. The only reason I can think of for him doing this is he was caught off-guard and defaulted to lying, but that is the issue. If he is willing to lie about absolutely anything, no matter how minor or stupid, what does that mean when he is saying he doesn't know anything about these white supremacists when in the past he has publicly said that they were awful? Is it just a slip up where Trump really forgot or was stumbling over a question he didn't really hear, or was it a calculated lie made so that he could hold onto as much of the white supremacist vote as possible?

Trump is way smarter than people give him credit for. Every move he makes and every word he says it's a calculated lie. I don't actually think that Trump actually thinks we should build a wall or turn away refugees, he's just saying that to get votes. Trump may be a political outsider, but that doesn't mean he can't be a politician.

I agree, trump is a pathological liar.
Hopefully, as November nears, people understand that we as a nation can not take a chance on having someone so pathetic as trump as our President.

I'm not sure how smart Trump is compared to how gullible the people are.
