I very much doubt he'll lose by 15%+.  In all likelihood, a win or a loss will be within 5 points.  And in that case, I'm not sure he will drop out.

He might as well. If he's just in it now to deny Trump in Florida and fails at that, there's no point in his candidacy any longer.

Depends on the result in OH, I would say. If Rubio loses but Kasich wins then the pressure to leave becomes real. In any other scenario it's just another Atlas Forum fantasy, like the people in the results thread last night who thought trump was a winner.

He should've dropped out already imho, but if he loses his home state, regardless of the margin, he would be delusional not to.

I kind of think he should just drop out now and endorse Ted Cruz, but definitely if he loses his home state by any margin at all, he should.

Whether he will or not is a different story. Yeah, if he gets beaten badly in Florida, I don't see why he would stay in.

If he loses FL at all, he has no chance, but I'm not sure what it would take for him to take a hint.

It'd be completely ridiculous not to.

Rubio should drop out if he loses his home state by ANY margin.  Given his crappy performance relative to his media hype he is already a borderline parody.  If he loses his home state and keeps running then he will be a true parody.

Rubio still has states which are more favourable to him right up until the final contest.

Surprised if he would drop out.

He has to turn down the nervous high speed - high pitched rhetoric followed by those weird smiling and grinning episodes where you dont know what he is thinking.

Donald Trumps facial expressions are closely matched to what the audience understands from his communication.

A lot of times Rubio is laughing and smiling, and you dont know why.

If he cleans up his message, Rubio still has a chance to get a lot of delegates, but more as an interfering role against Trump.

Eh, it's a symbolic blow and would reduce his chances significantly, but I don't see home states as being the be-all and end-all. There's a lot more to elections than favourite-son effects. If Kasich were to win Ohio while Rubio lost Florida, everyone seems to think that Kasich would vault ahead in such a scenario, but why? Kasich would still be well behind in delegates and in the popular vote, and has a pitch that is probably too far to the left of the median Republican primary voter to be optimal.

This indicates last night's performance wasn't a blow to Trump's campaign.

I really hope this happens and he drops out because he's not a good candidate or leader.

He probably drops out if he places 3rd in FL.  Don't know if that's possible given the early voting, but yeah.

It's also quite possible he drops out the minute he loses Florida, but unlike Jeb I don't think he's quitting this race with dignity.

For a couple weeks I've been thinking he only wants to end it in Florida because it's his home state.

He should drop out if he loses FL by a single vote.

Hell, even if he narrowly wins it, it's his home state. If he's viable at all, he should be expected to win it. If he really were looking viable right now, he'd be leading in Florida and at least 1-2 other March 15 states.

If he loses Florida by 1 vote, he should drop out. There aren't enough Minnesotas and Puerto Ricos (and presumably DCs) out there to make Little Marco's candidacy otherwise viable if he doesn't win in Florida.

Even if he wins Florida, there are way too many ifs for him to secure a path to the nomination outside of a brokered convention.

Florida is WTA, so if TRUMP wins by even 1 vote, he gets all of those delegates with Rubio getting none. Any loss in Florida will definitely force Rubio out of the race.

He will give a victory speech (after being 2nd or 3rd) and keep running.  Prob waiting until CA primary.

Nope,  why should he? I mean the guy is on a roll; coming in 2nd or 3rd is a part of his winning strategy; his argument, is, if Cruz and Kasich drop out, I can go mano mano with Donald and really beat him next time 😊😂

He actually has to. But depends what happens with Kasich in Ohio. Of John wins, Rubio will be under massive pressure.
