Total votes cast in the GOP contests: 12,463,370 (59.3%)
Total votes cast in the DEM contests:   8,543,947 (40.7%)
Total votes cast in ALL the contests:  21,007,317

What is Sanders' path to winning the popular vote?

Winning the highly populous states that are actually favorable to him. Almost all of Clinton's best states have voted, which is obviously going to skew the PV results toward her right now.
