Sorry to be making such a stupid thread, I usually hate people who do this, but how would Brian Schweitzer be doing had he not made the comments Democrats weren't so receptive to in the huge interview? At this point, I'm just so disappointed in the lack of a good candidate. Is there any chance college Democrats would have come out for a more serious candidate with slightly more serious proposals than Bernie or are they so focused on supporting a crazy-looking dude who calls himself socialist rather than the actually important factors of being a quality executive with executable policies?

If he got traction, he would have a chance of beating Hillary head-to-head, but I'm not sure he really had any chance of getting the same attention sadly.

I'm sure he'd eventually make similar comments about Rubio or somebody. But I'd say he'd be at about 20% at the very highest, cutting away from both Clinton and Sanders' support.

Worse, probably. He'd be a weaker version of Webb.

You don't think he gets some sort of left-wing cred that O'Malley doesn't have? His bolo tie aura completely erases that? I was hoping it could work similarly to the Sanders shtick, but I guess at the end of the day, it doesn't come across as educated and slightly cosmopolitan like Sanders is able to pull off.

You guys are basically debating about whether he'd get 2% of the vote or 1%.

Any "left-wing cred" that he didn't lose by supporting/signing a bill to nullify federal gun laws in Montana(!!!) he lost with his misogynist comments about Feinstein.

As a matter of fact, we do have some early polls including Schweitzer. The highest he got was 4% in a March 2014 PPP poll.
