Trump and Bloomberg are supposed to have a pretty good relationship. Will the Donald convince him to run as an independent to steal enough votes from Hillary to win a general election?

Could they make a back door deal where Trump guarantees him a cabinet position or something else if he runs? Would Trump consider to help fund a Bloomberg campaign if he thinks it would help result in him becoming the president?

I personally believe the only chance of a Bloomberg run is a Trump nomination, in an attempt to help put him over the top in the general.

Bloomberg won't run against Hillary. Sanders v Trump is the match up where he enters.

They may be friends, but that doesn't mean Bloomberg really wants Trump to be president. If his values and policy positions are so similar to Hillary's, then why would he want her to lose? Bloomberg just thinks he can capitalize on being the reasonable moderate in an election with two extremists (Trump & Sanders).

Didn't Bloomberg say that he was pissed at Hillary for saying he wouldn't run against her and thus he planned to enter even if it's Trump v. Hillary?

What you said is what I thought originally but then I read something in the news that was the opposite.

Doesn't he have to decide by early March for ballot access?  That would be before the nominations on either side are locked up.  I personally believe for that reason he will refrain from running.

No and he won't run, because Hillary is the Democratic nominee.
