Yes, they will do better or worse than 2012 Wink

I get the gist, and I think they stand a chance of improving.

Johnson? Better. Libertarians as a whole? Worse, as they won't be able to run up the score in IN/MO due to bad republican senate candidates.

Better, probably. Would be significantly better if Rand actually campaigned as a libertarian.

If the GOP nominee is someone left of Rubio (Trump, Jeb!!!!!!!, Kasich), especially if it's Trump, the Libertarians will do far better (at least at the top of the ticket) than the 0.9% that Gary Johnson got in 2012.

Otherwise, I don't know.

If the GOP nominates Trump, they'll do better. Doubly so if the election is Clinton-Trump; the Greens and possibly Constitution Party would also get a boost in that scenario.

If Trump, Rubio, Kasich, or Bush get nominated, they will do better in 2016.

They should do better. Libertarians are the biggest block of completely unrepresented voters in the country (especially this cycle), so if Johnson or whoever runs a semi-decent campaign, he should motivate them.

They are underrepresented, but most libertarians are economic libertarians first.  As such, most will continue to vote Republican.

Depends on the nominee. Probably worse if Cruz somehow wins it.
