Donald Trump is not a real Republican and will not, under any circumstance, be our nominee?

No, because the voters decide and not the RNC.

Why would they say that? TRUMP is the only Republican candidate who has a chance of winning the general election.

The time to say that would have been when Trump entered the race as a Republican. It's a little late right now, no? (And just to let you know, I believe it would make much more sense for Trump to be running as a third party candidate, aside from the fact that the two parties have complete control of the election system; today, anyone who wants to actually win the office of President has to run as a D or an R. It's unfortunate, but there it is...).

For an 'extreme' Republican, you seem very in line with the establishment.

My issue positions are as conservative as they come, and I believe that it is important to nominate the most truly conservative candidate.  So, I'm supporting Rubio, with Cruz as my second choice.  I just hope that people realize that TRUMP IS A LIBERAL before it is too late.

And, by the way, I supported Santorum in 2012, so I'm not a blind establishment follower.

Of course TRUMP IS A LIBERAL. That's why I like him.

Actually, at the convention, the party could vote to invalidate the entire primary process and use a "smoke-filled room". Or they could introduce a large enough number of new anti-Trump delegates to overtake Trump's delegate total. But I doubt they will do either, lest some third-party changes its nominee to Trump.

It's the rank and file voters that define who and what a "Republican" is.

The GOP has turned into a "Conservative Contest"; who adheres more purely to a set of issue positions defined by "movement conservatives".  The problem is that a huge chunk of the rank and file Republicans have opted out of a number of their positions.  They have opted out of the neocon foreign policy nonsense, at least in part.  They have opted out of blind support for free trading.  And they want our immigration laws enforced, regardless of the cost.

A significant part of the GOP base is also concerned with the progressive consolidation of more wealth into fewer hands.  They aren't Bernie Sanders about it, but they aren't OK with it either, and they're not just going to chalk this up as the difference between winning and losing a game.  The uber-free marketeers of the new GOP have made it harder to get into and stay in the middle class, and a lot of Republicans, who would never give the time of day to Occupy Wall Street, get that, and are not OK with their party being OK with that.

The GOP is being redefined somewhat, mainly because what it was offering wasn't in line with what a large number of its members wanted.

The "Republican Party" is whatever the delegates assembled in Cleveland July 18th-21st say it is. I mean that both in the symbolic sense and the quite literal sense: these delegates get to literally write the document that says what the party stands for and defines the party for the following four years. If those delegates, duly chosen by primaries and caucuses, endorse Trump and Trumpism, it is the "Republicans" who are out of step with the GOP, not Trump.

TRUMP leading proves the level of racism and hatred the party still holds onto and very soon it will be an exclusively white angry old men party

It almost seems like that's the goal. Sure I get that free trade and ultra-free market ideologies have hurt working class white Americans, particularly those in manufacturing. But why the hatred for immigrants? Do people really think the rust belt jobs would all come back if we kicked out all the Muslims and Mexicans? It makes no sense. Nor does using trump as a vehicle for anything besides his own self-promotion. If you want a modern Buchanan, bring back Pat; at least he stood for something worth defending.

If Trump wins the GOP nomination, Kasich should run as a 3rd party only in Ohio so the election can be sent to the house where he can win

Oh, I can just imagine the press releases the PRC, DPRK, Russia, Iran, Cuba etc. would write if the GOP did a stunt like that.
