If Ted Cruz wins the Republican presidential nomination, will Ted Cruz only carry Staten Island (Richmond County) and Bay Ridge, Brooklyn? They are conservative areas of New York City.

He might not even win Staten Island. Obama won it last time after all, and Romney never directly insulted New York.

Bay Ridge has a lot of Muslims. Just saying. It's not the Italian neighborhood it used to be. But Trump says he has some Muslim friends who like his act. Maybe they all live in Bay Ridge.

Bay Ridge is a Democratic voting neighborhood now.

I think he could fall to 12-15% in NYC and lose Staten Island.  Romney was just about the strongest possible modern GOP nominee for NY and even he dropped relative to McCain.  Unless you think the hurricane response boost was like 5% for Obama, there probably is much further to fall in NYC.  That said, I also think Trump could easily get Bush 2004 numbers in NY and cross 40% statewide.

Giuliani would be decidedly stronger than Romney in a general election in NYC.

Cruz will lose Staten Island. So many good people from Staten Island were affected by 9/11, and this pandering idiot thinks it'll help his polls to try and knock the hell out of these people?

Would Cruz even break 30% in New York?
